Fanzine | Los gatos de mi vida | 2019

The fanzine "Los gatos de mi vida" (The cats of my life), is a personal project that I made between 2018 and 2019.

I wanted to make a zine, and I've always liked cats, so I thought it would be a good idea to make a fanzine about cats. And not just cats, but all the cats I had in my life (including some that were not mine, but lived with me or shared some time with me).

I started planning the stories, figuring out which kind of content I'd like the zine to have and making small sketches of the pages.

Then, as I wrote the text, I started to define the graphic style and layout of the pages.

When the text was ready, I made the illustrations in watercolour paper, and I painted them in gouache.

I digitalized and edited them in Photoshop. I made the outline, corrected the lights and added the final details digitally.

Then I printed some copies, and mounted a few pieces manually.

Lastly, I adjusted the design in order to publish the zine online.
